Why is anyone apologizing for this?
No one was offended.
No one gives a shit.
No one.
There are assholes out there whose job it is to get professionally offended, and all they managed to do was phone in another poorly written press release.
Come on, even they’re not really offended. You can tell they don’t believe their own bullshit anymore. They just have to justify their ridiculous existence.
Not one person of any age, of any gender, or of any culture out of the hundred million who watched the Super Bowl is owed an apology for this fraction of a broadcast second.
Ugh. Even ranting about the irony and hypocrisy of this kind of nonsense is tiresome and irrelevant.

This is exactly like when Janet exposed her nipple and everyone was all upset and I was like, “I thought people who watched football liked boobs.”

I am not offended by boobs, middle fingers, I am not offended by a lot. What DOES offend me however is celebrity culture’s use of base and sensationalized tactics to gain our attention. Pandering.  If MIA was punk this would be a whole different story, but MIA is not a punk she is a poser and she is just trying to get people to talk about her. What is she saying exactly? Fuck the world? Fuck the superbowl that just paid her more than I will probably make in decades? Oh Fuck me MIA? No - Fuck you MIA, seriously. Do us all a favor and try and be a little but more creative next time, I remain unimpressed and put off. And in my eyes NOTHING will ever touch Brittney head shaving, the last truly punk act of the 21st century.
